Plant Labels

I use metal tags embossed with ballpoint pen so they never fade or break -
I buy Aluma-Boss tags from A.M. Leonard for approximately $0.10 each and
use aluminum electric fencing wire (the included "stainless wire" rusts as
soon as you open the box) tied through the drainage hole of terracotta
pots, attached with solid brass paper fasteners to the side of plastic
pots, or attached to the ground with mild steel landscape staples.
Impress-O-Tag is nicer but more pricey. Permanently attaching the tags is
really important here because the shiny tags are more attractive than
plastic tags to birds and raccoons!

nivalis tripodded open yesterday, Romulea rosea is blooming in the quonset
tunnel, and Narcissus pseudonarcissus buds are swelling
