Idk how this exactly works

So does Durga Pradhan breed true? I got seed of it for the last SX and grabbed a couple for myself and they germinated. Of course I’ll probably kill them off before they reach blooming side.

(And although there has been a paper that lumps Sprekelia and Zephyranthes (and many others) all into Zephyranthes, it still keeps those two in separate subgenera. I suspect that the new Zephyranthes has such a wide number of species in it now, in multiple separate subgenera, that they won’t all easily hybridize at all, maybe not even with embryo rescue.) And then there are the Sprekelia × Hippeastrum crosses, ×Hippeastrelia, such as Durga Pradhan, which are still intergeneric even under the new nomenclature. Also, along with the ×Amarine, there are also various kinds of ×Amarcrinum, crossing the true Amaryllis belladonna with different Crinum species. You can Google all kinds of images of them. Plant Delights seems to like intergeneric hybrids of Amaryllidaceae—they offer or used to offer many different types. There is also some information on the PBS photo wiki <https://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/index.php/…> of the three different ×Amar… intergeneric hybrids. Before Habranthus were lumped in with Zephyranthes, there were a few ×Zephybranthus hybrids. And I’ve seen a Phaedranassa tunguraguae x Eucrosia mirabilis, called ×Phaedrosia, hybrid on eBay <https://ebay.com/itm/295543876997/…> by a guy who knows what he’s doing with plants, so I trust it’s a real hybrid.
