Anyone interested in taking this on? It would be a huge task.  I often
have written the months of the year the plant flowers in the wild while
listing the country of origin (which is sometimes the only information
available) and I have no interest in now going back and changing that.
In addition what happens in the wild may not be the same as what happens
when we grow the same plant in  different microclimates,  with different
amounts of rain, different temperatures, soil, atmospheric pressure
changes, all which can impact when something flowers. So I don't know
how you would figure out for sure in a very specific way when something
might flower that would apply to everyone. When we used to announce when
Amaryllis belladonna was in flower, it was very different in different
places. So reporting when something flowers in its native habitat is
probably more accurate, but with climate change the previous reported
times may no longer apply.  Maybe it is best just to leave off this
information in the future so people won't be unhappy.
