Ipomoea pandurata is found statewide here (Arkansas, USA) and most summers would be easy to spot even at highway speeds. This hasn't been a normal summer, with record heat and very little rain, and almost nothing blooming for the last couple of months without irrigation except Vernonia. But the heat has broken and we're getting some rain, and the Ipomoea can bloom this late. As I recall, in addition to the insect issue (which I've also seen with I. leptophylla farther west), seed set was often poor. I'll keep watch.
