Under Velloziaceae I find vellozia which is only found in Serra do 
Espinhacoa, but some in Central, East and North Brazil and Bolivia.

it is described as a xerophytic shrub of low stature to over 6M high; 
stem branched, terete or trigonous, including the old leaf-bases; leaf 
blades reflexing and persistent or caducous along a regular transverse 
line, not plicate; flowers perfect, perianth tube from equaling the 
ovary to several times as long.....
