Hello All, My experience with the showy large flowered Ornithogalum dubium sold in supermarkets and garden centers is that they never flower for a second time. They are either hybrids or polyploids and seem to be on steroids. Compared to the true species they are about two to three times larger in all parts and grown in a humusy, unsuitable substrate. The true species, however is a reliable and easy plant and a good potful is very showy. Easy from seed, winter growing and summer dormant. The only drawback is that it is prone to infestation with mealy bugs. Bye for now Uli _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net https://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net> PBS Forum https://…
