I need ID  help on this untagged hippeastrum. it is a medium size bloom. measured today with the 2 large blooms about 12cm and the 1 small bloom about 9cm.

I first thought it was H. puniceum per the PBS wiki
https://www.pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/index.php/HippeastrumSpeciesTwo#puniceum

but it does not look like the Telos example.

It looks like Telos' Blossfieldii but my My Blossfieldii are still asleep

https://telosrarebulbs.com/product/hippeastrum-blossfeldiae/

and it looks like a very large H stratum, but again all my known H stratum are still asleep or barely waking.

first 4 photos from 10 Feb, last 3 photos from today 21 Feb

I ask any grocery store fish counter for fish boxes. Got these at a Kroger. The big ones came from a Chinese grocery store

Subirrigation on the low one?

Peter
Sub irrigation?
They get wheeled out of the garage for the cool weather and get rained on. In garage when it is hot in summer or freezing.

The fish boxes on the wire racks are sitting on shuttle trays inside Garland trays because the fish boxes are slightly larger than the Garland trays.

I use sturdy shuttle trays below all my sand filled fish boxes so the styrofoam does not break while moving

Clinanthus ruber x Clinanthus variegatus apricot = clinanthus incarnatus red form?

Seed cross I made in March 2022. Flowering now in southern hemisphere.

Pod plant was a Clinanthus ruber (tiny plant, short stylus).

The pollen plant was apricot Clinanthus variegatus (large plant, long stylus)

The cross looks like the red form of Clinanthus incarnatus!

So is the red form of Clinanthus incarnatus a hybrid?

Raised by Sir Peter Smithers as Lilium sulphureum as one parent, this was once only available in the trade. It is very tall and needs a few careful staking and is best in shade in my climate. It is fragrant.
However, I sometimes wonder if I have not been sold the hybrid African Queen instead. The apricot touch makes me think this. But I am not a Lily specialist, is there someone around who would be able to tell them apart?

Hi Uli, i grow a few lilies but not this one. I passed your question on to a fellow lily enthusiast who grows Vico Gold and he agrees with you, too orange and likely African Queen. Plant Delights sells Vico Gold
