Dear PBSers, Mary Sue mentioned "Plants of the World Online” This reminded me to recommend the new book called “Plants of the World” (http://press.uchicago.edu/ucp/books/… <http://press.uchicago.edu/ucp/books/…>) . This book is the first to compile modern taxonomy and sytematics about more than 450 famillies of plants, thousands of color photos, over 800 pages and a modern understanding of plant relationships. It is an instant classic for any one interested in the vastness of the botanical world. The authors spent almost 6 years researching the newest physical and biochemical studies of all vascular plants. They assign every genus of plant to its proper family and provide a wealth of information about each family. I think it belongs in any modern library of any student and researcher interested in plants. Highly recommended. Check this out Jim W.
