Sprekelia in pots?

I grow mine very differently than you describe, so I can’t say which aspects of my regimen are the reasons they bloom every year. I’m in southern California, so winters outside are never a problem as far as temperatures go. They do however get a substantial “chilly” period for several months (but always at or above freezing). And they are outside in full sun all during the growing season as well. I’ve seen them bloom in 1 gallon pots. But in those squat 3 gallon pots, they thrive, easily multiplying until when they bloom they produce multiple spikes all blooming together over a period of several weeks. And I’ve seen the ‘Orient Red’ variety bloom in multiple flushes throughout the growing season.
