Corydalis cheilanthifolia Hemsl. is a robust, evergreen species from Chinese mountain regions. Besides being dependable and prolific bloomers, the plants provide all-year interest with their fine fern like leaves which inspired the species name. Untypical for Corydalis, it's seeds can be stored dry without harm. Photographs by Martin Bohnet.
