Sessilanthera is a bulbous genus in the Iridaceae family with 3 species native to central and southern Mexico and Guatemala. It is in the Tigridieae tribe. Goldblatt & Manning have decided to lump Sessilanthera in with Tigridia in their new book, The Iris Family (2008).
Sessilanthera heliantha is native to Mexico.
