Cypripedium lichiangense S.C.Chen & P.J.Cribb is a beautiful, shy species growing in humus and leaf mold in the shade of evergreen trees and rhododendrons. Leaves are wide and maculated while the small flower is on a short pedicel. Height range: 7-14 cm. Photos were taken in its habitat in northwest Yunnan by Oron Peri.
