Doryanthaceae is a family consisting of a single genus, Doryanthes and two species which occurs in Eastern Australia (Queensland and New South Wales). Members exhibit large basal rosettes with a tuberous root system. Leaves are large and leathery. Flowers produces nectar which are most likely pollinated by birds. Plants are mesophilic or xerophilic.
