Nymphaeaceae is a family of aquatic flowering plants that grow from rhizomes which grow in soil in bodies of water. It is often called the water lily family. Genera in the family include Barclaya, Euryale, Nuphar, Nymphaea, Ondinea, and Victoria (the Giant water lilies).
