Onagraceae

Onagraceae is a family with about 24 genera and 640-650 species. Members are distributed worldwide in all major climates, terrestrial and aquatic. Plants range from herbs, to shrubs, to trees. Flowers come in a range of color but usually yellow or a variation of pink. Tepals usually are in fours. Some species have very specific growth requirements whereas others can be invasive. The genus Fuchsia is of economic importance. It is said that berries of fuchsias are edible.
