Tractema is a new genus mainly based in the western Mediterranean region in the proposed Scilla breakup. This new genus is in the Hyacinthaceae family and the species in this group look like a miniature Oncostema with large bracts and no bracteoles. For more information about the proposed Scilla changes consult Julian Slade's post. This change has not been widely accepted and Kew is still recognizing the species in this group as Scilla.
