This page contains information about Crinum hybrids with light to medium pink flowers. Also here are hybrids having white flowers with significant, but diffuse, pink pigmentation on their tips or keels. The plants on this page have names starting with N-Z.

Crinum 'Peachblow' is an historic hybrid whose origins have been lost but have often been speculated. Alani Davis speculates that it may be C. erubescens × C. latifolium. It has fragrant short-lived flowers on tall glaucous scapes with burgundy valves. Its scapes are prone to falling over and are better staked unless planted in a protected position. The first three photos were taken during cool weather in May 2007 and the last two during hot weather in August 2007. In hot weather the flowers have a completely different shape in the morning compared to the previous evening. Photos taken by Jay Yourch.

Crinum 'Pink Mystery' appears to be a hybrid between C. americanum or a related form and C. 'J.C. Harvey'. It has been distributed under the name 'Mystery', but that name is associated with a different plant. It does not bloom well until well established & performs better when grown in moister conditions. Photos taken August 2006 by Jay Yourch.

Crinum 'Pink Trumpet' is a Patrick Malcolm hybrid which is a seedling of C. album with the pollen source being unknown but has characteristics which suggest C. 'Cecil Houdyshel' as a possibility. Photos taken 2004 & 2005 by Alani Davis.

Crinum × powellii 'Roseum' is a selection of Crinum × powellii (C. bulbispermum × C. moorei). There may be other plants grown and sold under this name, but this is the one most frequently encountered because it's often sold in bulb catalogues & bulk bins at local garden centers. Its flowers are stringy & small, so it's a disappointing representative of the genus and hardly worth growing. Though it prolifically produces scapes this only helps slightly. Almost all other Crinum or clones of Crinum × powellii are more rewarding to grow. Photos taken by Alani Davis.

Crinum 'Spring Joy' is a hybrid made by Les Hannibal. The parentage is reputed to be an inbred line of C. macowanii, however the characteristics of the plant suggest that it has C. moorei in its parentage as well. It's a compact plant with long-lasting light pink flowers. Photos taken by Alani Davis and Jay Yourch.

Crinum 'Summer Glow' is a hybrid of C. 'Cecil Houdyshel' × C. 'Ellen Bosanquet' made by Grace Hinshaw. When the flowers first open they are uniformly pale pink, but the centers turn much darker with age. If the temperatures are cool while the plant is blooming the centers take longer to darken, allowing the gardener to enjoy an ephemeral, but very beautiful, striped stage. Photos taken May 2006 by Alani Davis.
