Crinum Hybrids Pink Two

This page contains information about Crinum hybrids with light to medium pink flowers. Also here are hybrids having white flowers with significant, but diffuse, pink pigmentation on their tips or keels. The plants on this page have names starting with H-M.


Crinum 'H.J. Elwes' is a small hybrid of C. americanum × C. moorei with pink flowers. It was hybridized by and named after Henry John Elwes. Photos taken July 2007 by Alani Davis & Nestor White.

Crinum 'Hannibal's Dwarf' is probably a hybrid of C. americanum × C. moorei made by Les Hannibal. It is a very rapid offsetter and has attractive low foliage. Photos taken August 2004 by Jay Yourch.

Crinum 'Imperial Guard' is the name Nestor White calls this high quality found C. × powellii hybrid (C. bulbispermum × C. moorei). It resembles 'Cecil Houdyshel' in foliage and blooming habit, but has taller scapes and darker flowers. Photos taken by Alani Davis and Jay Yourch.

Crinum 'Improved Peachblow' is a hybrid of C. erubescens × C. album made by Pat Malcolm. It has large, fragrant flowers on tall, sturdy scapes and an attractive rosette of foliage. Photos taken by Alani Davis.

Crinum 'International' is a hybrid of winding origins by Pat Malcolm. It has large, fragrant, pink flowers on medium scapes and an attractive rosette of foliage. Its flowers are not long lasting but it is a seed fertile hybrid. Photos taken by Alani Davis.

Crinum 'J.C. Harvey' is a hybrid of C. zeylanicum × C. moorei made by J.C. Harvey. It offsets readily and is very common in the Southeastern United States. Although it has a reputation of being shy to flower, most plants flower regularly if planted deeply and provided with adequate soil fertility and moisture. Photos taken by Alani Davis and Jay Yourch.

Crinum 'Jubilee' is a choice hybrid involving C. loddigesianum made by Luther Bundrandt. It has tidy foliage and large, wide open, fragrant, light pink flowers with deeper pink petal backs. Photos taken July 2007 by Jay Yourch.

Crinum 'Lady Chameleon' is a hybrid of C. 'Burgundy' × C. macowanii made by Marcelle Sheppard. It has white centered, medium pink flowers and is seed fertile. Photos taken June 2009 by Jay Yourch.

Crinum 'Lovely Lady' is a hybrid of C. 'Bundrandt's Light Pink Powellii' × C. 'Cecil Houdyshel' made by Marcelle Sheppard. It has pale pink flowers and is seed fertile. Photos taken June 2009 by Jay Yourch.

Crinum mauritianum × C. lineare is a hybrid induced in Australia, the seed was then sent to the United States. The 6-10" pink flowers are salverform slightly darker on the reverse side of the tepal and open more wide & close slowly with age. The medium green foliage is upright & spreading with leaves up to 30". The six seedlings from the cross all appear to be identical with no visible variations. Photos taken by Alani Davis.

Crinum 'Monterey Delight' is a C. × powellii (C. bulbispermum × C. moorei) hybrid with flowers that are slightly darker and open more widely than those of 'Cecil Houdyshel'. Photos taken April 2006 by Alani Davis.

Crinum 'Mrs. James Hendry' is a choice hybrid of unknown ancestry but suspected to be C. erubescens × C. × powellii. Hybridized by Henry Nehrling circa early 1900's. It has beautiful, tidy foliage and excellent, very fragrant flowers on sturdy, tall scapes. Photos by Leigh Ann Cagle and Jay Yourch.

Crinum 'Ms. Nancy' is a hybrid of C. carolo-schmidtii × C. moorei. This was hybridized by Dave Lehmiller. It has nice radiating narrow foliage and pink flowers on sturdy scapes. Whether the flowers open differently in other areas, I don't know, however this is as open the flowers opened in north Florida. Photos by Alani Davis.
