Albuca schoenlandii Baker, syn. Ornithogalum schoenlandii (Baker) J.C.Manning & Goldblatt, is distributed from the Little Karoo to the Eastern Cape where it grows on dry sandstone slopes. It is an evergreen species growing up to 50 cm with dark green flat wide leaves and white to light yellow upright flowers borne on long stalks.
